CO-LABS AT BIJOU

At Bijou, students have the opportunity to earn 2 credits in one class, which we call a co-lab. Two teachers from different subjects work together to combine the requirements  from each of their disciplines into blended assignments that satisfy the Colorado State Standards for each subject. While a co-lab can be somewhat challenging, it is an excellent learning opportunity to discover that in "real life", English, math, social studies, art, PE, etc., do not exist in a vacuum. To be prepared as graduates, it is essential to be able to combine the skills taught in the different required subjects and these co-labs are designed to do just that.
